Becoming an editor for this how-to guide on Simtropolis isn't just a walk in the park. There are commitments you have to make and responsibilities you have to understand.
1. If you become an editor, you must stay with us for a maximum of one week before you can resign.
2. You must post an entry in the city journal at least once a week UNDER THE CATEGORY YOU CHOSE.
3. Becoming an editor means you have the ability to add, delete, and edit posts. DO NOT EDIT OR DELETE A POST THAT WAS NOT WRITTEN BY YOU UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION BY CapTon (head of the city journal).
4. Each entry must contain at least one screenshot, and also, depending on the job, one YouTube or Vimeo video of YOU in action.
5. Keep you entries long. Do not type up three paragraphs with one screenshot and say you're done, because you wouldn't be. At least five paragraphs must be written, and each paragraph must be between 5+ sentences long.
6. When writing your title, make sure to add "by _________". The blank will be your username.
7. Trashing the game is prohibited when writing. You may suggest things that could use some improving, but no trashing. CapTon will give you a warning when it first happens.
8. If you happen to disagree with a comment on a post you made, do not insult anyone when objecting. If you wish to insult them, do it in a PM, where no one else can see it.
Failure to meet these guidelines and to follow these rules will result in the loss of your job as an editor.
